Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning

By the age of 3 years' old, most dogs show some sign of dental disease. Ultrasonic teeth cleaning for dogs, using Emmipet technology, is a gentle method that uses high-frequency sound waves to remove plaque, tartar, and bacteria without scraping. The ultrasonic toothbrush creates microscopic bubbles that penetrate deep into the gums; these burst and soften any tartar build up. The toothbrush is silent and doesn't vibrate, meaning It’s painless and safe, and suitable for dogs of all ages.

Regular cleaning improves oral hygiene, reduces bad breath, and supports overall dental health. When used properly, and in conjunction with good oral hygiene habits at home, this method offers a stress-free way to keep your dog’s teeth clean and their mouth healthy. You can read more in my blog about how it works.

Below are the different options:

  • Initial Consultation approx 30mins
I assess your dog's behaviour, teeth and gums to see if they are a suitable candidate for the service.
I show you the equipment and explain how it works, and do a trial session on your dog.
You also get a toothbrush head that is for your dog only.

  • Course of 5-Sessions
This is recommended if your dog has a particular build up of plaque or tartar that needs shifting.
For the toothbrushing to work effectively, it is important to have the treatment at a consistent frequency - weekly or less, in bundles of 5 sessions, each lasting 20mins.

  • Ongoing Maintenance
If your dog's teeth are in good condition and simply need a little ultrasonic maintenance, you can add this to your regular groom. This is a 15min session and works for dogs who are on a grooming schedule every 6-8 weeks, and when done in conjunction with regular teeth cleaning at home.

Recommended for dogs who tolerate having their mouth handled!

I will never force a dog through a process if they are anxious or scared of it. If your dog (like mine!) dislikes having its mouth held opened, or its gums lifted, then they will need training and time to get used to a toothbrush in their mouths. If you want to come in for a training session, I can show you the steps to go through. Just get in touch!
